The gross regional product for January-June 2024 amounted to $3057.87 million. Compared to January-June 2023, real GRP was 101.4%. In the structure of GRP, the share of production of goods was 47.6%, services - 45.7%.

Akmola region is an industrial and agricultural region. More than 1000 enterprises and industries operate in the industry, including large, medium, and small.
In the industrial segment of the region, the manufacturing industry predominates, occupying 80% (795 large, medium, and small enterprises and industries). The largest export-oriented enterprises of the region include: JSC Kokshetau Mineral Waters, TOO Stepnogorsk Mining and Chemical Combine, JSC Tynys, JSC KAMAZ-Engineering, JSC EPK Stepnogorsk, TOO Novopek, TOO Aidabulsky Distillery, TOO Urozhai, TOO Agrimer Astyk and a number of others. The geography of exports extends beyond the member states of the Customs Union and neighboring countries. The main exported products: bearings, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, trucks, flour.
The volume of industrial production in January-October 2024 amounted to 1,600,195.9 million tenge in current prices, which is 0.4% more than in January-October 2023.
In the mining industry, production volumes decreased by 0.4%, in the manufacturing industry - by 0.2%
In the supply of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning, an increase of 9.7% was noted, in water supply; sanitation; collection, processing and disposal of waste, pollution elimination activities - by 2.6%.
In the region, by 2025, it is planned to implement 48 investment projects in the agro-industrial complex worth 265.9 billion tenge, as well as to provide engineering and communications infrastructure for their implementation. The implementation of investment projects will help compensate for the shortage of agricultural products in the off-season and stabilize prices in the markets of the region and the capital, and will also create about 2,500 jobs.
